THE WEST Lancashire League has seen another week of intense playoffs and strong performances from its teams.
Milnthorpe Corinthians emerged as the victors during their close match against Hawcoat Park.

Praise went out for the performances by Danny Keenan, who scored twice, and for Simon Wearing who was also on target with his shot.
The game was entertaining and saw impressive play from both teams.
In the other games in the Division, Kendal County came away with a difficult 0-3 loss against Lostock St Gerards.
The game, held at Parkside Road, saw two out of the three goals come from clinical finishes in a contest.
Kendal were credited for creating their own chances throughout but were unable to get through their opponents’ defence.

Carnforth Rangers played well and overcame Furness Rovers by three goals to zero in West Lancashire League Division Two.
Unfortunately, Division Two also saw the Milnthorpe Corinthian Reserves game at Lostock St Gerards A Team postponed.
Both Kendal County and Milnthorpe are set to have their matches re-scheduled but this is dependent factors affected by the lockdown and current restrictions.
Kendal is to face Wyre Villa while Milnthorpe will play against Eagley.
Carnforth Rangers are also to host Chipping.
Kendal United will take the journey to Walney Island in The West Lancashire League Division Two.
All games are set to kick off at 3pm.
