A KENDAL Muay Thai fighter won his first ever classified fight earlier this month at Wigan's DW Stadium.

Warren Croskell, 32, from the MFKB Muay Thai club at the Bryce Institute at Burneside, Kendal, won his class-C fight in 74kg bout contested over five 90-second rounds.

He overcame opponent Richard Billington from Golden Belt, in St. Helens, by scoring particularly strongly with his knees.

Croskell, who has only been involved in Muay Thai for two years, said: "It felt good, all the hard work in training has paid off.

"It has been eight weeks of six days a week leading up to it.

"I'm 32 now so I started a bit late but I just want to see how far I can take it, I'll just see how it goes."
