THE annual junior prize giving took place at Kendal Golf Club recently where 115 people attended - including sponsors, parents, grandparents and junior members.

Last year was successful for Kendal Golf Club with the highlight of the season being 12-year-old Caitlin Whitehead winning the Cumbria Ladies County Championship at Eden to become the youngest county champion ever.

Whitehead was also a valuable member of the Cumbria Ladies team and led them out in match week at Sandiway Golf Club.

Kendal B team also won the Cumbria Team Championships at Kirkby Lonsdale in 2015 and recognition at county level was achieved by Henry Boyle, Toby Nelson, Elliot Creasby, Fraser Barclay, Will Coxon and Dominic Barron-Holden.

The evening was rounded off with the announcement of Boyle as the new junior captain for 2016.
