Kendal and Netherfield both face a difficult start to the season as the 2016 Northern Premier Cricket League fixtures were revealed.

The season which starts on Saturday April 16, sees Kendal travel to play reigning Northern League Champions Morecambe, whilst Netherfield start at home to St Anne's.

Kendal, who had a disappointing 2015 campaign, are expected to have a better 2016 season and will be tested against a Morecambe side that will be looking for a repeat of the 2015 success..

Netherfield, who did well in the cup competitions, winning the Cumbria Cup as well as retaining the Twenty-20 Trophy, will also be looking to climb up the league ladder but they face a St Anne's side who are also aiming for better next season.

Netherfield also get a free date on the last day of the season with their season finishing the week before Saturday,h September 10.!

The fixtures also reveal that Kendal and Netherfield will go head to head on Monday, May 30 and Monday, August 29.

Netherfield are away to Kendal in May before entertaining Kendal in August.
