THREE local wrestlers came home with honours at the annual end of season dinner and awards evening for Cumberland & Westmorland wrestlers.
Held at Low Hesket Village Hall the Victor Ludorum awards are made for different weights and age categories.
Ted Hodgson, from Dent, was the first one to be awarded when he received the trophy for the under 12 years of age group.
George Wilson, from Selside, was the winner of the under 18 years trophy while Warton's Graham Brocklebank received the trophy for the men’s middleweights category (under 13 stones).
Brocklebank has had his most successful season to date; winning the 14 and 15 stone championships and also coming within a whisker of winning two more championships finishing runner up in both the 13 stones and Heavyweights events.
On top of all these achievements, Graham also won the coveted award as the 'wrestler’s wrestler' - voted for by all competing wrestlers.
