LANCASHIRE Ladies’ County Golf Association will host the 2015 North of England Junior Jamboree at Grange-over-Sands Golf club on August 4-5.
The annual event, which started in 1992, moves round the six northern counties in rotation.
It consists of an 18 hole stableford competition on the first day with singles match play against a girl from another county on the second day.
The Junior Jamboree aims to provide young girl golfers with an opportunity to experience representing their county as a team member away from their home environment.
There are sixgirls in each team, all with a Congu handicap of 15 or above. County Junior Organiser Sue Griffiths will Captain the Lancashire team.
The current trophy holders are Yorkshire. Lancashire last won the Junior Jamboree in 2011 when it was played at Furness Golf Club, Cumbria.
