WINDERMERE'S men dominated the Cumbria Hockey Cup competition at Penrith over the weekend, scoring 30 goals without reply to retain the senior county trophy.
The newly-crowned North West League Champions opened their cup defence on Saturday with a five-nil victory over South Lakes (formerly Glaxo), then enjoyed a nine-nil win over Kirkby Lonsdale.
On Sunday morning they defeated Kendal 10-0 before going on to over-power Keswick and West Cumbria six-nil in the final game.
Keswick and Wests were runners-up and Kendal finished third in the round robin tournament.
Coming a fortnight after their U18s finished fourth in the England Hockey U18s Plate, this latest triumph puts the icing on the cake of a memorable season for Windermere, whose first team are promoted to the North League next term.
