BOLTON-le-Sands teenager Callum Seton fought off competitors from across the world to win the 60m freestyle event at the recent Big Chill Swim on Windermere.
The 17-year-old not only won his age group but the male category and was the overall event winner as he swam, without a wetsuit, in temperatures just over five degrees.
He completed the event in 38.1 seconds. The next nearest swimmer was the winner of the female category at 43.7 seconds. There were a total of 117 swimmers in his event.
The event included swimmers from around the world including America, France, Germany, Holland, Finland, Russia, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Canada, Norway and India.
Seton is a member of Lancaster City Amateur Swimming and Water polo club. He was previously a member of Troutbeck Bridge ASC and also competed in the Great North Swim.
