KIRKOSWALD climbed to the summit of the Bluefin Westmorland Football League's Division One after routing bottom club Ambleside United Reserves 11-2.

Nial Renwick helped himself to four goals while James Stobbart and Ben Brooksby both bagged hat-tricks. Brad Renwick and Chris Tuer also chipped in with a goal a piece.

Elsewhere, Wetheriggs Utd inflicted a first defeat of the season on Keswick after beating them 2-1 at The Gillwilly Recreation Ground.

At Frenchfields Kendal United put six with no reply past Penrith Reserves. Andrew Lockhart and David Crierie scored twice while Greg Pearce and Cameron Stewart were also on the scoresheet

Two own goals helped Appleby to a 4-0 win over Windermere with Josh Hall and Andrew Little also scoring.

Lunesdale United sauntered to a 10-2 home win over Kendal County Reserves, who have won just once in six attempts.

Shaun Sorrenson scored four, James Mandle grabbed a brace and Carl Horner, Chris Ellwood, Roy Emerson and David Beecham also found the back of the net.

Rob Close scored the only goal of the game as Sedbergh Wanderers recorded their fourth win of the season in a close 1-0 victory over Carvetti United.

In Division Two Darren Huck scored the only goal of the game as Burneside defeated Ibis 1-0 at Hollins Lane - a result which brings an end to Ibis’s unbeaten start to the season.

Endmoor sit in second place after a 5-2 win at Coniston. Matthew Wilson scored twice, with Nathan Dixon,Ryan Carradus and Shaun Gardner also on the scoresheet.

Shap and Wetherigg United Reserves drew 2-2 at Memorial Park.

In Division Three, Eden Thistle defeated Burneside Reserves 4-2 while Greystoke drew 2-2 with Lunesdale United Reserves and Dent won 2-1 at Ibis Reserves.

In Division Four Ullswater United were had a day to remember routing basement club Penrith Saints 13-1, while Greystoke Reserves won 2-1 at Dent Reserves.
