April is turing out to be a very busy month on the 4th Derek and I attended South Cumbria Music Festival Gala Night. On the final night contestants perform and prizes are give. It has been a very busy time for all involved.

Tuesday 7th April, 2009 I was invited to attend the opening of a Multi Use Games Area on Lund Terrace. The Official Opening was done by the youngest and the oldest resident of the area. The weather was dry but cold. Everyone had a great time, gamers of football were played and Easter Eggs were given out to all the children.

Easter Monday saw Derek and I climb the lower level of Hoad Hill for the Annual Egg Rolling Competition. It was my job to judge the Best Decorated Eggs and with eager little eyes looking at you, it was a very difficult job.

Friday 17th April and it was off to the Mayors Charity Ball in Barrow. The event was held at Forum 28 and after the meal the Mayor Dave Roberts provided entertainment for everyone, finishing off the evening with dancing. The Mayors Charities are St. Mary's Hospice and the North West Air Ambulance.
