AN AUTOGRAPH book containing the signature of a Lakeland Legend will go under the hammer in Kendal tomorrow.
The book boasts the signature of speed ace Donald Campbell, who died in his famous boat, Bluebird K7, while trying to break his own world water speed record on Coniston in 1967.
Bluebird enthusiast Tony Stuchbury of Bolton discovered the book at a private sale and is donating the profits from the sale to the Ruskin Museum, which houses a display on the record-breaking hero.
The book has been given a guide price of between £200 and £250 and is being sold as part of a Fine Art, Antiques and Collectables Sale at Kendal Auction Rooms on Sandylands Road in Kendal.
