I've been asked to interview lots of interesting dogs this week for Discover Dogs in London at Earls Court. I'm too young to go to myself so I have asked some mates from all over the country to be my Roving Reporters. There's a Bloodhound called Jethro, a Dalmatian, a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, an Irish Water Spaniel,a Bearded Collie and a Papillon. I'll introduce them all later. All different shapes, sizes, appetites and energy levels. So watch this spot. These guys will be my Roving Reporters and go down to Earls Court and find out the news and views from a dogs point of view.

It is a really big event in London with over 200 breeds of dogs under one roof! Each breed is represented and you can meet and greet the dogs themselves to find out more about them. As well as there being loads of different types of dogs to find out about there are also demonstrations and trade stands selling the perfect Christmas present for us dogs. Everyone saw Gin, the dog on this years Britain’s Got Talent, well at Discover Dogs you can see demonstrations from experts like Mary Ray and her dogs, who were the team who first started heelwork to music in Britain. There’s the finals of Scruffts, which is open to cross breeds of all types and companion dog competitions. Its not just for those of us with pedigrees.

Also PC, a terrier who demonstrates toys for Company of Animals will be telling us a bit about his favourite things and The Guide Dog of the Year, Theo will be talking about what it is like to be a superstar and change someones life. We'll also be finding out about how to sponsor a puppy with the Guide dogs and lots more.

Back on the home front I am also hoping to talk to Raq, Eric Robsons dog about lots of good walks and places to go in the Lakes and tell some of the people down at Earls Court about the new website Lake District for Dogs.

Fox has also sent me some more great Pics of him and his gang at work at the Lake District Sheepdog experience so I thought I would attach a few more to the blog - its part of my homework to learn more about the job.

We've also had some good news from my Auntie Coire who won a big event at Stirling last weekend so she'll be off to Crufts next March for the Obedience competition. See Mirks blog for more on this.

See you soon, Scout

P.S. I was on Radio Cumbria this week - well in the background - Rose had rung up the antiques road show type of programme, with the man from Bonhams, and I just don’t like being left out so I decided to join in - they actually asked at the end what my name was too, so they had obviously heard me down the phone in Carlisle!
