Construction of two large logistics units has started at MX Park in Maple Cross.

Located close to junction 17 of the M25, groundworks for the project are already in full swing with completion targeted for December this year.

The scheme promises to boost employment in the area and provide necessary logistics space. It will comprise units of 97,876 sq ft and 80,487 sq ft, including photovoltaic panels and electric vehicle charging points.

The scheme is being developed by Ashford Developments, delivered by Pioneer, and funded by Barwood Regional Property Growth Fund IV.

Nick Masters, senior investment manager at Barwood, said: “Greater London faces limited supply of new Grade-A logistics space and MX Park is well placed to deliver on the high level of sustained occupier demand we are seeing.

"Our delivery of this scheme comes at a time when firms are re-evaluating their expectations of logistics space, with demand for high-quality and sustainable space, remaining resilient."

Richard Ashford, managing director of Ashford Developments, added: "Ashford are delighted to be ‘full steam ahead’ with MX Park and look forward to welcoming occupiers who demand exemplar HQ logistics accommodation with unparalleled access to the West M25 network and wider South East.”
