A rescue team in Cumbria is being supported by a local group ahead of an upcoming open day.
The Furness Amateur Radio Society (FARS) will be working with Duddon Inshore Rescue on Saturday, May 18.
FARS members will be erecting their antennas and installing their radio equipment as part of their participation in SOS Radio Week.
This involves radio clubs operating their equipment in support of the RNLI and independent rescue organisations such as DIR.
Graham Postlethwaite said: "DIR provide a 24/7 search and rescue service for anyone or anything at risk on the sands or in the sea of the Duddon Estuary and beyond.
"They are entirely reliant on donations and grants and this annual Open Day is a way for members of the public to find out more about what they and FARS do."
Rachel's Wildlife will be running activities for children, whilst there will also be home bakes and teas and coffees available throughout the day.
