A KENDAL football club has paid tribute to one of its most devoted stalwarts after his sad passing.
Ibis Football Club, which is based at Jubilee Fields at Mintsfeet, has announced the death of club secretary Frank Routledge.
The club, which plays in the Westmorland Football League, took to social media on Tuesday to say:
"It is with great sadness we advise of the passing of Ibis stalwart Frank Routledge today - Frank was secretary of our club for a scarcely believable SEVENTY years (1950-2020) and always carried himself with the utmost respect and class, a true gentleman in every sense.
"RIP"
