THE Booths store in Kendal is undergoing an extensive refurbishment scheme.

It will aim to improve the layout and upgrade the fixtures and fittings including new fridges, freezers and counters to 'improve our environmental credentials.'

A Booths spokesman said the refurbishment works would cause disruption as various elements are moved around to create new areas in the store.

When the project is finished the store will have a new kiosk area, a new lunchtime to-go area, and a new and improved bakery department.

There will also be new products across the store, such as an expanded wine, beers and spirits department. There will be a new florist area at the storefront with a gifting and card zone which will sell products from local and national suppliers.

Works are currently underway and are planned to be completed in November before the busy Christmas period.

A spokesperson from the store said: "Our store colleagues will be happy to support customers with any questions they may have. The store transformation will be significant once completed. The store will have an updated look and feel. Customers will be excited to see hundreds of new products across the store."
