POLICE have slammed litter louts after officers received complaints about rubbish left in a park.
South Lakes Police attended the playing fields in Milnthorpe last night and found plastic bottles and take away packaging strewn across the field.
A force spokesman said there was no excuse for such behaviour.
“There wasn't a bin is not an excuse,” he said.
“You managed to carry it here, so you should be able to carry it home or at least to the nearest bin 100 metres away.
“Please be assured that police always investigate concerns passed on by the public. Litter being left and anti-social behaviour is one of the biggest complaints local residents in this area report to the local PCSO.”
