ARNSIDE'S football team president has taken on the role of manager at a South Cumbrian retail outlet.
Jeannie Coates, 57, is now in charge of the shop at Silverdale Holiday Park.
Jeannie's appointment is the latest of six new jobs created at the park, including others in customer services, administration and ground maintenance.
She intends to broaden the range of Cumbria-made food and drinks carried in the shop and adopt a 'local suppliers first' buying policy.
Having begun her career in Kendal's Asda store and going to become the manager of its clothing department, Jeannie then spent 16 years as manager of Moda in Pelle in Kendal's Beales department store.
Silverdale park owner Michael Holgate said he was delighted to welcome Jeannie on board, and that the supermarket now stands to benefit greatly from her extensive retail experience.
