A CUMBRIAN home fragrance manufacturer has been acquired by a homeware company.
Wax Lyrical, based in Lindal-in-Furness, have today (May 5) announced that they have been bought by Portmeirion Group PLC.
The company will remain a stand-alone brand, with manufacturing continuing at the current site and no changes to be made in terms of staffing.

The Portmeirion Group PLC own the Portmeirion, Spode, Royal Worcester and Pimpernel brands and is based in Stoke-on-Trent.
Speaking about the sale, Wax Lyrical’s managing director, Joanne Barber, said: "We are delighted to be joining such an iconic British group which champions some much-loved British brands.
"Wax Lyrical is a great fit for the Portmeirion Group as we share a passion for quality British manufacturing."
