THE recently-launched Bay Cycle Way has been shortlisted in the Visitor Experience category of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2015.
The new route, launched in June, celebrates and showcases the Morecambe Bay and includes many traffic-free sections.
It is aimed at families and leisure cyclists who want to go at their own pace to explore the distinctive heritage, culture and wildlife of the area. Cyclists are also encouraged to stay a while in a wide variety of high quality accommodation and sample mouthwatering local produce.
Meanwhile, the Bay View Holiday Park, Carnforth, has been shortlisted in the Holiday Park category and Leighton Hall, near Carnforth, in the Small Visitor Attraction and Best for Groups categories.
