Work off the motorway on the Heysham Link project requires closing the southbound exit slip road on the M6 junction 34 at Lancaster, between 8pm on Friday, October 9, and 6am on Monday, October 12. A clearly-signed motorway diversion will be in place.
Resurfacing sections of the southbound carriageway near Tebay Services on the M6 between junction 38 Brough to junction 39 Shap has started. Contractors will also install new reflective road studs, replace road markings and carry out repairs to two bridges. Two lanes will be open to traffic during the day, between 6am-8pm, and one lane overnight, between 8pm-6am. The project is due to be completed by the end of October.
