CAVE rescuers were called out twice at the weekend to injured walkers who had slipped in North Yorkshire.
A 28-year-old man slipped on the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove and broke his lower leg yesterday (August 30) at around 12.50pm.
Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation was called out to help the man who was treated by Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics before being stretchered to an air ambulance for transport to hospital.

And on Saturday (August 29) a Three Peaks walker fell on muddy grass near High Birkwith, Horton in Ribblesdale, and injured her ankle at around 10.20am.
The woman, 33, was fitted with a splint and given pain relief before being carried to a waiting road ambulance.
