A MOUNTAIN biker was airlifted to hospital with head injuries after being knocked unconscious.
The Great North Air Ambulance was called to aid the 33-year-old man who had come off his bike in Whinlatter Forest, near Keswick. at 10.45am.
Suffering from head, leg and arm injuries, the Stockport man was assessed and carried by mountain rescuers to the helicopter before being flown to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.
