ONE of the Lake District's busiest mountain rescue teams was involved in two incidents on the fells yesterday.

First, Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team was called to Coffin Route, near Grasmere, at around noon after a lady sustained a broken ankle in a fall.

The rescue involved 15 team members over two hours.

And then, at around 5.30pm, a 55-year-old man sustained a dislocated shoulder in a fall while walking with a group at Swinescar Hause.

He was treated by team members and evacuated by stretcher before being taken to hospital.
